First: Republicans obeyed Trump’s demand to ram through a gerrymandered map in Texas, attempting to steal five Democratic seats.
Then: In Louisiana, Republicans launched an all-out attack on the Voting Rights Act, trying to redraw maps and eliminate protections that ensure voters of color have a fair say.
Now: Governor Mike Braun of Indiana has called a special session to “look into” redistricting—and make no mistake, this is about one thing: locking in Republican power for another decade.
These efforts aren’t isolated. They’re part of a coordinated push by the far-right to hold onto power by any means necessary—even if it means silencing millions of voters and dismantling the very foundations of our democracy.
They know they’re about to lose Trump’s majority in the House of Representatives, so they’re working overtime to rig the maps. We can’t afford to sit on the sidelines while they try to steal these seats.
During Beto’s recent town hall meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana voters stood with Texans who were fighting Trump’s power grab. Now, we need to have their back in return.
