FOX Business: Rep. Andy Harris warns Democrats’ shutdown stalling has hit ‘a breaking point’

This week, I joined Mornings with Maria to discuss the latest developments on the government shutdown and recent findings from the House Oversight Committee regarding President Biden’s use of the autopen. I emphasized that we are reaching a critical point for our country: SNAP benefits are set to lapse, air traffic controllers and military families are facing uncertainty, and essential services are at risk. The House voted five weeks ago to keep the government open, and it is long past time for the Senate to do the same. To watch the full interview, click HERE.

The Daily Wire: Why We’re Hosting A National Prayer Call Tonight: ‘Congress Prays For America’

In a recent op-ed, I joined Tony Perkins, of the Family Research Council, to announce a National Prayer Call, “Congress Prays for America,” hosted by the House Freedom Caucus, the Family Research Council, and Christian leaders from across the country. House Republicans have already acted to keep the government open, and it’s time for Senate Democrats to do the same. To read the full article, click HERE.

The Baltimore Sun: Mayor Brandon Scott to spend $4.7M on Baltimoreans impacted by government shutdown

In response to Maryland Democrats’ criticism, I reminded them that they are the ones responsible for the Democrat-led government shutdown after voting against a bipartisan continuing resolution that would have kept the government funded. If Democrats truly want SNAP benefits to continue after November 1, the path is simple: stop holding press conferences and urge Maryland’s two senators to vote to reopen the government. Even the American Federation of Government Employees has urged Democrats to support the same clean funding bill they backed 13 times under the Biden administration, including earlier this year.
