New Teen Birth Data Released
This month, the CDC released 2024 teen birth rate data, and the results show both progress and continued urgency. Texas continues to have the 8th highest teen birth rate in the nation, but our rate declined by 5% compared to the year prior. In 2024, there were more than 20,000 teen births in Texas, the highest total count in the nation.
At Healthy Futures, we use data to guide our mission and drive access to health education and care. Understanding these trends helps us and our partners advance effective strategies that support youth across every region of the state.
