Culture has always helped to shape democracy, and right now—more than ever—we must preserve and advance the vision of a just, democratic society where all are cared for, treated fairly, and have rights.
Join with others across the county who are participating in Race Forward’s Cultural Week of Action on Race and Democracy, November 8-16, and be part of a powerful movement rooted in community, connection, shared culture, and collective learning and action to defend and fortify democracy.

Here's how you can participate:

- Host your own cultural activity and add it to our interactive map so others can participate. Our webinar, "We the People: Plan Your Cultural Week of Action on Race and Democracy," provides inspiration and practical tools to organize your event, including:
- Live performances and heartfelt
discussions, featuring Gangstagrass
- Conversation with Patrisse Cullors, author and activist
- Four pathways to take action—home, workplace, community, City Hall
- An interactive map connecting your event with others nationwide, so no one is building alone

- Attend an event in your area and take an action lifted up during the event. Even a simple action such as posting that you participated helps build the momentum toward protecting democracy. You can find an event near you on our event map.
