As kids look forward to candy, families across Canada face something far scarier: what’s happening to our politics.

Conservative MP Jamil Jivani’s “Restore the North” tour of Canadian colleges and universities is a knockoff of Charlie Kirk’s far-right movement. He tells young men they’ve been ignored. He blames immigration. He calls diversity “a problem.” And he’s drawing crowds.

He isn’t alone.

Did you know Jivani is a Yale law school friend to U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Donald Trump’s strongest ally? We see every single day that together, they are building a U.S that thrives on division and hatred, a version where fear wins.

There is no room for hate or division in Canada.

The Green Party believes we are stronger when we work together, building a better Canada for all people and the planet. We believe in respect for diversity, valuing differences among people, cultures, and the natural world. We believe in non-violence, building security through cooperation, human rights, and wellbeing. We believe in participatory democracy, sharing power fairly and giving everyone a voice in decisions that affect our lives.

When Elizabeth speaks in Parliament, she reminds Canadians what democracy can still be: honest, respectful, and hopeful. But defending that vision takes all of us.
