Happy Halloween Friend!

As the autumn air ushers in the season of ghosts and goblins, we find ourselves reflecting on the hauntingly impactful work we've accomplished together this year. 

We hosted the 2025 Just Economy Leadership Summit in Nashville, Tennessee, bringing together leaders from across the country to collaborate in shaping long-term strategies to protect our communities. We increased awareness of the impacts of gentrification in major US cities through research, investigations and publications like this ground-breaking report on how urban development has reshaped communities along racial and economic lines. 

But that’s just the tip of the cauldron! In 2025, NCRC casted many spells for positive change. 

We provided support to 6,572 households, including helping 134 families to purchase homes, 29 families avoid foreclosure and 848 families avoid eviction. We awarded 17 Field Empowerment Fund grants in 16 states, supporting innovative projects in affordable housing, workforce training and financial education.
