Dear John,

These are unusual times in our country; outrageous remarks are being made by the president

on a daily basis, while political developments in Israel can be challenging as well. In this

newsletter we are focused on our efforts and those of our partners to make a difference and

see positive results!

As this summer is coming to an end, we are gearing up towards the fall and upcoming events

and programs.

All the best,

Kenneth Bob

President

J-Street Conference 2019

We invite you to be a part of the Ameinu's delegation to the J Street National Conference in DC, October 26 - 29.

Come together with more than 3,500 people to learn about what's happening on Capitol Hill, the latest news out of Israel, and how the Jewish community is changing the way it talks about Israel.

The conference will also feature the creators of the popular podcasts, Pod Save America and Pod Save the World, who will tape live from the conference.  Together, we will be tackling the important questions facing foreign policy in the US today and what candidates and policymakers can do in the face of the challenges current American diplomacy presents.

The majority of American Jews support a two-state solution. The more people who come, the louder we will be heard. And the louder we are heard, the greater the chance of securing a better future for Israel, for the Palestinians and for our community.

Fighting BDS

Our affiliated faculty organization, the Alliance for Academic Freedom (AAF), sent an open letter

expressing concern to the Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP) which voted last week

on a resolution calling for the boycott of Israeli academic institutions. We are happy to report that the

resolution was voted down, and grateful to AAF members who took part in writing and distributing

their letter, as well as attending the meeting where the vote was taken.
