It’s in Nottingham’s Christmas Market returns to Nottingham Castle! Extending the magic to three days this year, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more stalls, entertainment, and family-friendly activities, all set against the stunning backdrop of Nottingham Castle.
Visitors can explore a wide range of handcrafted gifts, seasonal treats, and local delicacies. With live music, craft workshops, and a chance for children to meet Santa, there’s something for everyone.

Discover magical moments and memories at Newstead Abbey this festive season. Fairytale Christmas features mesmerising installations and displays that will make you feel cosy as you take a self-led walk through the Historic House.
At weekends, browse craft stalls in the medieval cloisters with a range of gifts. Explore the park and gardens with a wintery walk or self-led outdoor trail, and be inspired by festive gifts and treats in the cafe and shop. You can also indulge in Afternoon Tea with a selection of sandwiches, savouries and a range of festive desserts.

Winter Wonderland returns next month, and you can book online for ice skating, the Observation Wheel, Ice Bar, and Sur La Piste and Altitude chalet bars. Book in advance and save 10% on your ice skating bookings!
Glide above Old Market Square on the Sky Skate Ice Path, take in panoramic views of the city on the Observation Wheel, and enjoy seasonal cheer with delicious food and drink in the alpine ski bars. The Christmas Market stalls will also be back, offering a huge selection of gifts and festive treats, as well as the popular Ice Bar with a brand-new theme.
Planning to visit Winter Wonderland on a weekend? It's just ÂŁ4.50 to park all day at Broad Marsh car park on a Saturday or Sunday from Saturday 1 November to Sunday 1 February.

Fireworks and bonfire events this weekend

Wrap up warm and enjoy firework displays and bonfire events across Nottinghamshire this weekend! On Saturday, the free Sparks in the Park event takes place at Sutton Lawn (Sutton in Ashfield) with a huge funfair, live entertainment, and two firework displays. There's another spectacular display tomorrow at Nottingham Racecourse, set to the magic of the movies with Cinema in the Sky.
On Sunday, Norwood Park (Southwell) hosts a Bonfire Night featuring fireworks, fire dancers, and delicious food vendors. Also, there are still tickets available for Sunday's Fireworks and Street Food event at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground (Saturday is sold out).
Remembrance Sunday

Victoria Embankment
The traditional Remembrance Service takes place at the city's war memorial at Victoria Embankment. The ceremony will begin at 10.45am and include the two-minute silence and wreath laying.
The Nottinghamshire Band of The Royal Engineers, accompanied by the Nottingham Hospitals Choir, will provide music for the service. People wishing to pay their respects and observe the ceremony are very welcome.

The Nottingham Comedy Festival begins today! The ten-day festival brings a wide range of comedians from around the country and beyond, from brand new acts to top established names.
More than 150 comedians will perform across 18 venues with more variety than ever, including stand-up, improvisation, cabaret, drag shows, musical comedy, workshops and more. Shows this weekend include Ha Ha Halloween Spooktacular, A Comedy Tapas, Little John Improv, A Political Brunch, and Den Of Fools.

Are you a Nottingham creator or artist who would like to be involved in next year's Light Night?
We're inviting proposals from Nottingham cultural institutions, communities, not-for-profit organisations, religious buildings, schools and individual artists to participate in the event. You can be involved either working independently, or as a part of a collective.
You can participate by proposing an event or installation in a city centre public realm space, hosting in your own venue, or submitting a proposal for one of our funded artistic commissions.
