I’ll admit it: As a proud dad to three wonderful kids, I’m a sucker for a good dad joke. Have you heard this one?

What does a clock do when it gets hungry? It goes back four seconds.

Okay, okay, that one was pretty bad. But speaking of clocks, I needed to make sure you knew: Our campaign is in a huge time crunch right now ahead of our end-of-month fundraising goal tomorrow night. And there’s no going back four seconds if we fall short.

So before I waffle on any longer, I’m really hoping I can count on you tonight. Can you chip in $10 or whatever you can before our deadline?

Look, as much as I like a good dad joke, there’s nothing funny about the consequences of losing this seat to MAGA Republicans. The Republican Party is a joke right now — and not the good kind.

They’ve shut down the government, slashed affordable health care, and jacked up costs. Now, they’re threatening to cut off SNAP benefits from hungry kids all across the country. It’s despicable.

In the last election, this team showed the entire country that we’re a force to be reckoned with. Every fundraising goal, every petition, and every call to action, you stepped up. And because of that, we held this seat when MAGA Republicans and all the so-called political experts counted us out.

But now, we need to do it again.

This fundraising goal is a huge test of strength for our campaign, and in a toss-up district like this, falling short is not an option. Please, I don’t take a dime of corporate PAC money, so I’m really hoping this team can step up right now, just like you always have before.
