Live Map: Where Redistricting Battles Are Unfolding Across the Country
Live-Redistricting-Map ([link removed] )
President Donald Trump is determined to keep Republicans in control of the U.S. House in 2026, pressuring GOP-led states to redraw maps in their favor. Texas, North Carolina and Missouri have already acted, while Democrats are fighting back in California and Virginia. Other states could follow, taking advantage of deadlines or ongoing litigation.
Our redistricting litigation map ([link removed] ) tracks every step in real time — a resource we’re proud to bring you and that you won't be able to find anywhere else.
With your support, we can continue to break down the lawsuits shaping the 2026 congressional landscape — and ensure our independent, pro-democracy reporting remains free ([link removed] ) for everyone to access and share.

On our new, live map, you’ll find real-time updates on:
- Every state’s redistricting legal battles as they, and how they could impact 2026 districts
- The current partisan makeup of each state’s congressional delegation and how it could change
- The expected 2026 map compared to each party’s share of the 2024 presidential vote (perhaps the best way to show the severity of the gerrymanders)
The redistricting war of 2025 is shaping up to be the most-watched story leading up to the midterms. We’ll continue to update this interactive map if other states join the fray — as we expect they will.
