Hurricane Melissa: Fuel our response with your gift today.
|
Hi, Friend, it’s Evan from the fundraising team at Project HOPE. I wanted to reach out to you personally because our last email was a critical update that’s even more urgent now. Hurricane Melissa has left widespread destruction in its wake across the Caribbean. Survivors of the storm need your urgent support!
In Jamaica, 77% of the country remains without power after enduring 185 mph winds, catastrophic flooding, and 30 inches of rain. In Cuba, the damage is being called “incalculable” as rivers overflow and landslides isolate communities. And in Haiti, more than 20 people have been killed by floodwaters that swept away entire homes. I can only imagine the devastation so many people — children, mothers, siblings, fathers — are experiencing as they navigate this new reality.
Project HOPE’s team is on the ground coordinating with local officials and assessing urgent health needs. But the scale of this disaster demands immediate action. Please, make an emergency donation now to help power Project HOPE’s response for families who have lost everything and to fuel our global mission to deliver urgent relief with lasting impact, wherever the need is greatest.
I am always in awe of the way our supporters continue to come through when the people we serve need it most. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
