Hey John, it’s Adelita Grijalva — the Democratic Rep.-Elect that Speaker Mike Johnson is still refusing to swear in.
When I told Jane what Speaker Johnson said about me, she urged me to reach out and share it with you directly:

"Bless her heart... she doesn't know how it works around here."
That’s what he said — dismissive, patronizing, and completely unacceptable.
Let me be clear, I know exactly how it works. Earlier this year, two Republicans were sworn in while the House was in recess and less than 24 hours after their elections. My race has been certified. The voters spoke. It's now been over a month!
My job is to serve, and his job is to swear me in. FULL STOP.
Instead, he's hiding behind smug, patronizing excuses. It's not just offensive, it's dangerous. A Speaker can't pick which Members to seat based on politics. That's not how democracy works, that's how it dies.
Will you stand with me by splitting a $10 contribution or whatever you can between the Jane Fonda Climate PAC and my campaign today to help us keep the pressure on and show we won't accept this abuse of power?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split contribution will go through immediately:
Thank you for standing with me.
Juntos,
Adelita Grijalva
Congresswoman-Elect
Arizona's 7th District
