Detroit, Michigan: Detroit's City Council voted to prohibit the use of smokeless products, including nicotine pouches, in the city's professional sports stadiums.

Marin County, California: Marin County's Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance to increase the minimum price of tobacco products like cigarettes, oral nicotine pouches, and cigars to $12, with their price increasing $1 every two years. The ordinance also prohibits the sale of e-cigarettes. Countywide enforcement of the ordinance will begin September 1, 2026.

New York: New York Attorney General Letitia James and the New York State Department of Health filed a lawsuit to shut down Otsego County's Royalty Tobacco smoke shop and permanently ban its owners from selling vapor products in New York. The lawsuit alleges that store owners have repeatedly violated New York’s public health laws by illegally selling vapes to children and teens, and for continuing to sell illegal flavored vapes despite a statewide ban.
