State of Illinois Vendor Summit in Chicago to Connect Business Owners with Contracting Opportunities
CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) will host the 2025 State of Illinois Vendor Summit on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Malcolm X College in Chicago. This event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is designed to help business owners learn how to do business with State of Illinois agencies and State universities.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into upcoming contracting opportunities, the procurement process, and key resources available to support business growth. Subject matter experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance on topics such as registration, certification, and navigating bid requirements.
“We encourage business owners from across Illinois to attend the fourth annual State of Illinois Vendor Summit in Chicago,” said Raven A. DeVaughn, CMS Director. “This event is a cornerstone of the State’s commitment to expanding access, promoting equity, and ensuring that all businesses — including small, minority-owned, veteran-owned, women-owned, and other disadvantaged firms — have the opportunity to compete for State contracts.”
The Summit will also feature networking sessions for prime vendors and subcontractors, giving participants the chance to connect directly with potential partners and decision-makers across State government. Vendor Summits are part of the State’s broader outreach initiatives to diversify its vendor pool and advance equitable access to contracting opportunities. Attendees will learn practical steps to register as a State vendor, prepare responsive proposals, and successfully participate in the Business Enterprise Program (BEP).
