Donald Trump’s latest nominee for U.S. Surgeon General, Casey Means, is not a practicing physician, not licensed to treat patients, and not qualified to lead America’s public health system. Instead, she is a wellness influencer with a long record of pseudoscientific claims, anti-vaccine rhetoric, and clear conflicts of interest that put profit over people.
Means has spread false claims about birth control and autism and amplified conspiracy theories about mainstream nutrition science. At the same time, she has built and profited from businesses that sell the very untested products she promotes, raising serious ethical concerns about her ability to act in the public interest.
