On November 1st, millions of Americans will start shopping for 2026 healthcare coverage. And as things stand right now, they’re going to see shocking cost hikes on their insurance plans — all because Republicans refuse to come to the negotiating table to work with Democrats. Dr. Ruiz is fighting to open our government, protect healthcare, and prevent massive hikes in healthcare costs.

While House Speaker Mike Johnson and Congressional Republicans are in no rush to reopen the government, federal workers are forced to do their jobs without receiving a single paycheck.

At a time when Donald Trump’s chaotic policies are causing sky-high inflation and declining job reports, many are worrying about whether they can keep the lights on and the fridge stocked.

The son of hardworking farmworkers, Dr. Ruiz grew up in Coachella, CA and learned at an early age that the key to attaining the American Dream is hard work and a great education. In the summer of 1990, Raul walked in the desert heat from business to business in the Coachella Valley asking them to invest in their community by contributing to his education. With each investment for college, he made a promise to come back home and serve his community as a physician. In 2012, he decided to take his service to the community to the next level by running for Congress. Dr. Ruiz needs our help to continue fighting for us in Congress.
