John,
Around the country, people are demanding a new kind of politics — one that works for working families, by working families. And in just six days, we have two exciting opportunities to make that vision a reality.
The first is in Virginia, where WFP-endorsed Ghazal Hashmi is running for Lt. Governor against MAGA-loyalist John Reid. Hashmi’s steadfast commitment to affordable housing, better jobs for working families, affordable health care, and more make her a candidate we’re beyond proud to stand beside.
The second is in Cleveland, Ohio, where four WFP champions are up for election to the City Council — Rebecca Maurer, Mohammad Faraj, Alana Belle, and Tanmay Shah. This is our chance to bring fresh leadership to a city that tens of thousands of working families call home, and deliver improvements to Cleveland’s housing, public transit, public safety, and more.
We’re hosting a string of phonebanks for these elections, and no matter where you live, we need your help.

Races like these rarely get the attention they deserve, John. And we know it’s difficult to stay plugged into local issues while the national media machine is in overdrive.
But in order to achieve the wins we need for working families across the country, we must show up everywhere — mayors, city councilors, state senators, lieutenant governors, and more.
