Friend,

Three and a half MILLION Texans could soon go hungry – thanks entirely to Donald Trump and congressional Republicans.

As the government shutdown continues, the Trump administration has announced that they are refusing to distribute federal food assistance – even though funds are available to continue the SNAP program during a shutdown.

The SNAP program provides food assistance to 42 million people nationwide – including 3.5 MILLION Texas families.

Let me be clear: Trump is trying to use the shutdown to let millions of Americans go hungry. Help us fight back – chip in $15, $25 or whatever you can to help us protect federal food assistance.

25 states are now suing the Trump admin over this funding. And I am working with my colleagues to force Trump to back down. But we have to turn up the pressure to make sure families don’t go hungry. Can you help us?

Chip in $15, $25, or whatever you can to help us restore SNAP funding, end the government shutdown, and protect health care for millions. We are turning up the pressure – but we need all the help we can get.

CHIP IN >>

Thank you,

-Joaquin
