Earlier this summer, Republicans passed the largest healthcare cuts in U.S. history—slashing Medicaid, Medicare, and marketplace coverage. Now they want to let the healthcare tax credits that more than 20 million people rely on to afford health insurance expire at the end of this year.¹

Without these tax credits, millions will be forced to pay nearly double for coverage or lose coverage entirely.² In fact, it’s expected that the cost of ACA premiums will go up by $700 or more per year if these subsidies expire.³

But Democrats are holding the line and refusing to support a Republican budget plan that doesn’t address the healthcare crisis they made, and with open enrollment set to begin nationwide on November 1, we have a critical window to continue to put pressure on lawmakers to extend these credits.

This week, we’re kicking off a national week of action to rally and share stories of the impact of these harmful cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA, and to put pressure on lawmakers to extend these vital credits before millions lose their coverage. Can you join us?
