This two-hour interactive session introduces AFGE members to essential principles of workplace health and safety. Participants will learn how to identify common hazards, apply preventive measures to protect themselves and their coworkers, and understand their rights under OSHA and how to exercise them. The course emphasizes the union’s role in advocating for safe and healthy workplaces — especially when OSHA enforcement is reduced due to staffing shortages caused by RIFs or government shutdowns.

As a reminder, to join the session you'll need to create an AFGE Learn account, which is separate from the credentials you use to log into the AFGE website.
