Donald Trump's authoritarian rampage and orgy of corruption is like nothing we've ever seen before.

It's everything we feared, but worse. Yet every day, the corporate media treats it like a mild passing rain shower rather than the Category 5 hurricane that it is.

Trump has personally raked in over $3 billion since taking office, and the corporate media acts like it's business as usual.

He's openly laying the groundwork to invoke the Insurrection Act and impose martial law, and The New York Times treats it like a reasonable response to "out of control" urban crime.

He issued NSPM-7, an order directing the FBI to investigate grassroots activism as "domestic terrorism," and there's been virtually zero coverage whatsoever of the threat it poses.

This is worse than bad journalism. It's active complicity with fascism.

We still believe that authoritarianism can be defeated if enough well-informed, well-intentioned people organize to bring it down. But that requires an independent media willing to challenge the lies, cruelty, and greed of the current regime.
