Friend, a few weeks ago, I spoke to students during halftime at their homecoming game in Pharr, Texas – the fifth Friday Night Lights we've hit across the state.

I told those students something I learned during my football-playing days: The first half is about breaking through – the second half is about finishing the job.

I use this same mantra in my approach to this campaign. We've built real momentum in this race. Early polling already shows we can win because folks are tired of the GOP's empty promises and the harmful policies driving up costs. Texans are ready for change!

But we need to keep pushing to finish what we started, friend. And that means giving every major milestone of this campaign everything we've got.

So as we approach a critical $250,000 end-of-month goal on Friday, we can't afford to not give it our all. Not when our lead, and our chance to flip Texas and take back the Senate for Democrats, depends on it.

You're a huge part of this team, friend, which means your grassroots support is key to competing with the millions that GOP donors are pumping into Texas right now. So here's my halftime call to action: Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can spare to help this team finish what we started and flip Texas blue?

Let's finish the job.
