I wanted to reach out to you personally: Here in toss-up CA-47, I’m one of a handful of Democratic leaders holding the line between Orange County and Trump’s authoritarian agenda.

But if we LOSE this seat next November? We can kiss any hopes of a Democratic majority goodbye. Two more years of a MAGA majority in Congress. Two more years of sham investigations and grotesque legislation. Two more years of an unchecked, wannabe-dictator in the White House.

That’s why I need to ask: Will you rush a donation to my campaign before our next deadline on Friday night? To be completely transparent, our fundraising for the month still isn’t where it needs to be, so if we want to avoid any cuts to our projections, we need to turn things around — and fast.

This toss-up race isn’t just about who gets to represent one of the 435 seats in the House of Representatives. It’s about sending a message to Trump 2.0.

If next year’s midterms go poorly — and we lose this seat to the far-right — Donald Trump will become even more emboldened. He’ll take what’s left of the Constitution and put it straight through the paper shredder.

But if we win and take back the House? Democrats will have the votes to block every Trump-backed bill Republicans introduce. All their climate-killing legislation. All their anti-choice bills. All their billionaire tax handouts.

To put it more bluntly: Winning right here in CA-47 can stop Donald Trump from shoving his hateful agenda down our throats for another two years.
