I’ll get straight to the point: I’m reaching out today to ask if you’ll consider making a donation to my re-election campaign ahead of our end-of-month deadline. Before I do, here are three reasons why we’re counting on your support.

1. I have a Republican opponent in the race. Peter Oberacker filed to run against me. He’s already been exposed for lying about where he was born, nearly hiring a Nazi sympathizer as a campaign advisor, and cashing a check from NYSEG just weeks before their latest rate hike.


2. We can’t lose this seat. Taking back the House next November starts with holding toss-up seats like mine. If we want any chance of regaining the majority and stopping Trump’s agenda, we need to start preparing now to ensure we win again in NY-19.


3. Republicans are raising a ton of money. The same GOP groups that worked against us last year already reported record-breaking fundraising hauls, and people like Elise Stefanik and Elon Musk are also helping them raise money to use against us.
