Dear John,
On Thursday, we highlighted the Duluth Right to Repair campaign. Duluth renters deserve timely repairs, that's why Duluthians are voting YES on Question 1. đș
This week, TakeAction members are Feeding the Wolf to get Duluth Right to Repair across the finish line. We are clear that a win in Duluth is a win for all Minnesotansâtowards a future where all of us have safe and dignified homes. Our goal is to raise $5,000 in this final stretch week - and we are almost halfway there!
We know from other ballot initiative campaigns that opposition tends to hit hard in the final two weeks when voters are paying the most attention. Support Duluth Tenants as they continue to build momentum with voters by chipping in now!
Yard signs are $9/sign and literature for the 30,000 doors we are set to knock costs about $10,000 to print. Our salaried organizer, our office space, our strategic communications campaignâall cost money to run. Organized money has a real material impact on the capacity of the Duluth Right to Repair campaign.
Natalie, a Duluth renter who struggled to get timely repairs shared, âIâm not sure how to fully convey the toll that this experience had on my mental health. I know that Iâm not the only renter in Duluth who has struggled to get the repairs they need.â If you are struggling to get your repairs done in Duluth, you are not alone. On November 4, Duluthians have a chance to change that. We have a chance to contribute to that win. Will you join us?
In solidarity,
Laura Kiernan (she/her)
