Can I share something deeply personal with you?
I was raised by a single mom in a mobile home park. My mom worked full-time and earned her teaching degree over the span of 9 years. My grandmother, who lived a few doors down, worked in a shoe factory well into her 70s — all while she helped my mom raise me and my two siblings. That’s where I come from.
Nothing came easy. I got my first job at McDonald’s as a teenager and put myself through state college, working two jobs and taking out some student loans. I started off my career as a reporter and spent 20 years helping lead a major Minnesota manufacturing company, eventually leading a team of 16,000.
When I talk about going to bat for working folks in Washington, it’s not lip service. I’m talking about my mom, my grandmother, my aunts and uncles, my siblings and everyone who knows what it’s like to struggle. I’m fighting for them, and I’m fighting for you.
Right now, Donald Trump and his GOP majority are making it nearly impossible for regular folks to make ends meet — and that’s got to change.
So, I’m humbly asking before my October deadline: Will you please split $10 between Tammy Baldwin and my campaign to send me to the U.S. Senate and chart a better path forward for working families?
