The Ohio Redistricting Commission met last week, and once again, Republicans made it clear they care more about clinging to power than listening to Ohio voters.

After missing their first deadline to draw new maps entirely, they showed up with no map, no plan, and no intention of following the fair, constitutional process Ohioans overwhelmingly voted for. It’s insulting to every Ohioan.

Democrats presented testimony on their fair, constitutional map that would give Republicans eight seats and Democrats seven seats, representing how Ohio actually votes.

But Republicans know this is their only chance to hang on to power, so they are doing everything possible to rig our maps.

Republicans know the polls say Ohioans are fed up with their billionaire-first agenda. They know 2026 is going to be a tough election. That’s why instead of listening to voters, they're silencing them.

But we're prepared to use every tool available to stop an unconstitutional gerrymander. We're organizing Ohioans in every county to demand fair maps. And we're building the infrastructure to hold Republicans accountable at the ballot box.
