While Donald Trump and his allies in Congress keep trying to spin their government shutdown, let’s run through the facts:

1. Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the Presidency. But somehow Democrats are the ones who caused the shutdown? Something doesn’t add up. 

2. The demands from Democrats are straightforward and reasonable: extend ACA tax credits so families can actually afford health insurance. These are commonsense solutions, and Frank and Congressional Democrats stand ready to re-open the government. 

3. Under the current Republican majority, everyday families are paying more than ever for groceries and other necessities.

Donald Trump and his Republican allies in Congress know that they won’t keep their Majority without rewriting the rules. That’s why they’ve called a Special Session to redraw Indiana’s Congressional maps to try to win Frank’s seat.
