Albuquerque, July 9--President Donald Trump today signed an executive order to create the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative, a move designed to improve economic and educational opportunities for Hispanic Americans. The executive order also creates the Advisory Commission on Hispanic Prosperity. 

The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce on today's signing:

"President Trump continues to stand up for all Americans, but his new executive order is especially important for New Mexico. The Hispanic community is integral to our state, and by empowering Hispanics, he will supercharge New Mexico's future. This initiative demonstrates the President's commitment to Hispanics, and they continue to thrive under his strong policies. The White House is committed to New Mexico, and is investing staff and resources as part of a big initiative to engage Hispanics heading into November. I am also excited that the President is recognizing our former Lt. Gov. John Sanchez on this new Commission."
