This is
the Trump administration summed up in one image: illegal, destructive, and
not helping you.

Americans are losing their health care, families are paying more for
groceries, federal workers are missing their paychecks, but Donald Trump
has prioritized wining and dining corporate executives from Meta, Comcast,
Microsoft, Palantir, Lockheed Martin, Amazon, and Google (just to name a
few) to fundraise for his new $300+ million gold encrusted ballroom at the
White House.

Five days after this fundraising dinner, demolition started.

Here’s the thing: Many of the corporations donating to Trump’s ballroom
are regulated by federal agencies, seeking regulatory approvals, or are
currently under investigation by the Department of Justice — raising
serious ethics concerns over any backroom deals and special favors being
offered in exchange for donations. Do they really think we're dumb enough
to believe they're not getting something in return for their donations?

And the organizations involved with overseeing this project — the National
Park Service and the nonpartisan Trust for the National Mall — have
seemingly become vehicles for politicized fundraising, putting aside
established processes when it comes to approving construction on the White
House.

The American people deserve answers. So I've launched an investigation
into the contracting and approval process for the demolition of the White
House and whether the corporate donors funding Trump's ballroom are
seeking favors with the Administration.

Trump’s priorities are on full display right now:

Instead of cutting health care costs, he is cutting off a wing of the
White House.

Instead of helping Americans afford their groceries, he is paving the Rose
Garden with concrete.

Instead of bringing down inflation, he is wining and dining corporate
donors to bankroll his vanity project.

It’s a slap in the face to the American people. I’m not going to just
stand by and watch this happen.
