If I'm going to be a governor who serves all Coloradans, I have to reach out to as many Coloradans as I can. So every chance I get to head home from D.C., I make sure to meet with folks from every corner of our state. I make sure to listen as they talk about their families, their jobs, their day-to-day priorities and their wildest dreams – and I’m so grateful to spend the next few days on the road.

Now, don't get me wrong: Delivering real, tangible results for Colorado over three terms in the U.S. Senate has been the honor of my life.

And as long as I serve in this capacity, I'll stay laser-focused on pushing back against Trump and keeping up that track record.

However, President Trump's lawless administration doesn’t care about delivering for the people of Colorado. As he bulldozes the economy, our social safety nets and our democracy, Republicans look the other way – and too many in Washington treat it like politics as usual.

That's why I’m coming back home to Colorado. The best solutions to our state's biggest issues can't come from Trump's crooked policies, and Washington D.C. is too broken to meet Coloradans' needs.

Our solutions have to start here at home: in Colorado, by Colorado, for Colorado.

I believe, together, we can create the solutions to our shared challenges. 
I believe, together, we can forge better politics than what we see on cable news.
I believe, together, we can make our state the best place to raise a kid, start a business and retire with dignity.
And I believe that, together, Colorado can provide the vision both the Democratic Party and the entire country urgently need.
