Hunger exists in every zip code. Even ours. And right now, the need in Northern Virginia is rising.

With the ongoing government shutdown and furloughs, many families are facing another missed paycheck. For some, it’s the first time they’ve had to visit a food pantry.

Our Hunger Resource Center is anticipating an increase in requests for food and essentials the closer we get to the end of the month. We need your help to keep our shelves stocked and families fed.

As you head to the grocery store this weekend, please consider adding a few extra items to your cart. Your donations will help families across Northern Virginia put food on the table this fall.

For the first time ever, we’re accepting fresh produce, sealed dairy, packaged meat, poultry, eggs, and bakery bread in addition to shelf-stable items.

Bring your nonperishable and perishable food donations to NVFS’ Hunger Resource Center during our Fall Food Drive drop-off days:
Location: 10058 Dean Dr., Manassas, VA 20110

Monday, October 27 | 10 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday, October 29 | 10 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday, November 5 | 10 AM – 5 PM
Friday, November 7 | 10 AM – 5 PM

If you can’t make it in person next week, you can still help by shopping our online grocery store.

Together, we can fill tables and get food to those who need it most.

With gratitude,

Sarah
