The American Sustainable Business Council is continuing its campaign with other allied organizations to secure permanent paid family leave in the next Congressional COVID-19 relief package and beyond.

When the Coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S., over 33 million workers couldn’t get paid time off if they got sick or had to take care of a loved one. In response to COVID-19, and the strong advocacy of ASBC and others, Congress passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act in March, which was our country’s first paid sick day and paid leave policy. However, it is limited and temporary and expires on December 31, 2020.

As part of our effort to achieve permanent paid leave through its incorporation in July’s expected COVID-19 relief package, we are asking you to share your stories of how this temporary paid leave has aided your employees and your business.

We want to hear your stories and share them with members of Congress so that hopefully we can have a stronger collective voice to improve and expedite the assistance that so many businesses and their employees need right now
