Citing concerns about President Donald Trump’s influence over Republican Jack Ciattarelli, a former Bergen County Republican chairman has endorsed Democrat Mikie Sherrill for governor. “Ciattarelli has 100% support Oof Trump. He supports the tariffs, and he is a MAGA person. He will never stand up to the Trump Administration to stand up for New Jersey—just look at his weakness as the Gateway Project is ‘terminated’—a huge mistake that will cost New Jersey commuters and residents,” Yudin stated. “Ciattarelli is unfit to be Governor.”

Instead, Jack's doubling down and defending Trump [[link removed]] , claiming he's killing tens of thousands of jobs and playing with New Jerseyans' livelihoods as part of some negotiation tactic. It’s pathetic.
Mikie has been at the forefront of the fight for Gateway since her first day in office, earning her the title of the “Tunnel-Obsessed Congresswoman” by securing federal funding after decades of inaction on the project, and has vowed to take the administration to court to claw back this funding.
