On Saturday, Kim joined local protestors at the No Kings Rally in Issaquah. She stood shoulder to shoulder with neighbors, families, and community leaders who believe that in America, no one—including the president—is above the law.

Right now, our democracy is being tested.

Donald Trump has spent years trying to rig the system for himself by undermining voting rights, stacking the courts with loyalists, and using every lever of power to protect his own interests instead of the people's.

But that's not who we are.

Our founders fought to create a nation where power rests with the people, not a single ruler. Our Constitution was built on checks and balances to ensure that no one person could ever crown themselves above the rest. They rejected kings and built a democracy where accountability and equality under the law are the foundation of our freedom.

In short: Our country belongs to the people, not to one man, not to a king. And it's on us to ensure our democracy doesn't just survive, but thrives under sensible, for-the-people leadership.
