John,

I am pleased to announce that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former U.S. Representative David Trone have agreed to serve as co-chairs of the next phase of our campaign to place term limits on Congress.

The Republican Governor and former Democratic congressman announced the news in an op-ed in today’s New York Times. Rep. Trone is also the founder and owner of one of America’s most successful businesses, Total Wine & More.

Twelve states have now officially voted to stand up to Congress and support term limits on the U.S. House and Senate.  Many more are set to debate our legislation in the coming months and both Ron DeSantis and David Trone will be openly campaigning in the states for us.

This is such a historic moment for our movement that a generous donor has agreed to match all online donations from now until Thanksgiving.

Please, make the best donation you can today.

With a very prominent Republican and very well-known Democrat now publicly officially joining our fight for term limits, I believe our goal of term limiting members of Congress is now truly in sight.

So please help us today.

Historically, Congress proposes constitutional amendments like term limits only when there is major pressure coming from the states.

We are following the same “states first” process that led to the adoption of the Bill of Rights and the 17th amendment which allowed the direct popular election of senators.

But we need your help to fund all these campaigns in the states.

We need to publicize our new co-chairs.  We need to hold events.  We need to fund mailers, ads and billboards.

Now is the time for term limits.

Please make the best gift you can. And remember, it will be matched by a generous donor who is really fired-up about our chance to put term limits on Congress.
