Hi John,

Did you know you can get financial support to pay for college in California?

My name is Madeleine, and I am the Interim Director of Higher Education at Immigrants Rising. I’m here to share with you how you can go to college affordably. The 2026-27 CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) opened last week, and it’s your chance to be considered for in-state tuition, state grants, scholarships, fellowships, and other forms of financial aid. If you are an undocumented student or a U visa holder and intend to attend a UC, CSU, CCC, or even private schools next year, this is for you!

When you apply for the CA Dream Act, you could receive financial aid to pay for tuition, fees, and living expenses. You can also qualify for the Dream Act Service Incentive Grant, a program that gives up to $4,500 to students who complete community or volunteer service. This means that you are not only opening up the opportunity to afford college, but also to make progress toward your academic & career goals.

The future may feel uncertain with recent news and the current state of our communities, but know that the dreams you set for yourself, your family, and your community are possible. CSAC and the California Department of Education are committed to protecting your information (English and Spanish). Trained practitioners and educators are also excited to support you: get help on your application at Cash 4 College Workshops, or check out this map to see where your nearest dream resource center is.

Apply by the priority deadline, March 2, 2026, to ensure you’re considered for as much aid as possible. We’re all rooting for you!
