Jennifer A. Abruzzo has played a pivotal role in advancing workers’ rights and shaping a more equitable labor landscape. Appointed by President Joe Biden, her transformative tenure as General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) led one of the most significant expansions of labor rights in decades. She advanced policies to protect collective bargaining, defend organizing rights, and challenge exploitative employer practices.
With nearly 30 years at the NLRB, Abruzzo rose from field attorney to senior leadership roles, and also served as Special Counsel at the Communications Workers of America (CWA). In 2018, she also served as Special Counsel for Strategic Initiatives at Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO (CWA), the largest media and communications union in the United States. Now, as Of Counsel at Bush Gottlieb and Senior Advisor to the President at CWA, her expertise continues to support workers and unions as they engage in collective action, good faith bargaining, and the promotion of equitable workplace practices.
