The narcissist-in-chief veered wildly off script to praise himself for a number of accomplishments, including — no, we are not making this up — successfully dodging a would-be assassin's bullet. I made a turn at a good time — I turned to the right,” Donald said, referencing the moment he narrowly avoided a bullet fired by Thomas Michael Crooks in Pennsylvania last year. Trump laughed, then added, again, with Erika sitting just feet away: "Charlie couldn't believe it, actually. He said, 'How the hell did you make that turn?'" Beyond parody.

Oh, also, Vice President of the United States JD Vance went on the record defending the indefensible messages as nothing more than a youthful "college group chat" and called outrage over the leaked messages sanctimonious "pearl clutching."
