Making the Cultural Shift into Virtual Services
Wednesday, July 8 | 1:30-2:30 p.m. Central

With the onset of COVID-19, behavioral health care providers have had to adapt to a new world—one that requires limited face-to-face interaction with patients and coworkers, greater use of technology for engagement, and different demands on employees, operations and oversight. Learn from the experience of three leaders at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation who describe the organization’s “cultural shift” into providing virtual care and recovery support services. Presenters will discuss internal and external factors involved in the shift to telehealth care, including technology systems, internet needs, clinician training, and supervision and policy reform.

Learning Objectives
Identify effective approaches for working with payers, partners and other providers in the virtual services arena
Determine staff training, onboarding and ongoing supervision challenges and needs
