Tell Congress to reject harmful cuts to health care

Congress has unfinished business — and the health of millions of Americans is on the line.
Right now, many families — including those living with cystic fibrosis — rely on enhanced Advance Premium Tax Credits (eAPTCs) to afford high-quality health insurance through the insurance marketplace. But these credits are set to expire on Dec. 31. If Congress doesn’t act, marketplace insurance premiums could more than double — rising by an average of 114% starting Jan. 1.
When coverage becomes too expensive, healthier people tend to leave the insurance pool. That drives up costs for everyone who remains, including people living with CF.

At the same time, funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is uncertain. These agencies play a vital role in the research, development, and approval of CF treatments. Continued funding is critical for continued progress — and hope for a cure.
