As we celebrate the beginning of our nation, we reflect upon the revolutionary ideas and extraordinary spirit of America.
On that July day — 1776 — in Independence Hall, our founders courageously stood up in the face of tyranny and laid the foundations for a system of governance that would change the course of history for the better.
Equality. Liberty. Rights. Democracy. Opportunity.
The very ideals of freedom were woven into the fabric of that young nation yearning for a new beginning and challenging the ways of the past. America has served as a guiding light for subsequent generations and governments around the world ever since.
We are so fortunate to live in a country that protects the rights of the people to embrace, reform, improve, or reimagine its future. Every time we have looked inward, America has reemerged stronger, greater, and more united.
Like each generation before us, we have the solemn duty of devising the way forward. We must take our job seriously. Together, we will forge a path towards more freedoms, unrivaled ingenuity, and greater prosperity.
This Independence Day, let us be reminded of the ideals of our founding and the responsibility we have to safeguard the great American experiment for the betterment of our world to come.
May God continue to bless America.
