Today, we celebrate America’s 244th birthday but it is an Independence Day like no other.
It should be a day we all come together to celebrate America and the ideals upon which the greatest nation in the world was founded upon. Sadly, we are witnessing a nation that is being attacked from within.
There is a dangerous and dishonest movement on the left that is out to convince Americans that our country isn’t great. An intolerant left who wants to fundamentally dismantle the rights and liberties our Founding Fathers fought and died for in their quest to create “a more perfect union.”
That is why it’s so important for our fellow patriots all across this nation to stand up and proudly celebrate the birth of the greatest experiment in the history of the world: the United States of America.
Let us proudly display our American flag, wear red, white and blue, and sing our national anthem.
Let us teach our young ones about the founding principles of our nation and instill in them the poignant reminder that freedom is not free.
Let us honor the brave men and women in our United States Military who selflessly sacrifice so much to protect those freedoms.
President Reagan said it best: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
President Reagan made those remarks more than 30 years ago, but they could not be more true today.
But as long as there are patriots like you who stand for freedom, equality and justice for all...we will ensure that our star-spangled banner will continue to wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave.
