John,

We’re excited to invite more friends like you to become Freedom Partners –
[link removed]
and if you haven’t yet said yes, I hope you’ll take this step now.

Because when you commit to monthly giving, you do more than send rescue.

You help rewrite stories of suffering into stories of strength, restoration and hope.

Let me share with you what I mean.

We’ve shared about the rescue of over 100 people from bonded labor in the Amaragiri village in India.

And today I want to introduce you to one of them – Mallaiah.

Mallaiah was just 8 years old when he first boarded a fishing boat with his family – unaware he was stepping into a lifetime of exploitation.

By 16, he had endured years of bonded labor. But everything changed when rescue came.

With the steady support of generous friends like you, Mallaiah had the opportunity to finish school, rebuild his life and dream again.

And he had BIG dreams!

In 2018, he ran for local office – and won. Today, he serves as Deputy President of his village, helping his community secure food, ID cards, equipment and even a government-funded fish-processing plant to create sustainable jobs.

And in 2023, Mallaiah’s leadership was recognized globally when he joined IJM’s Global Survivor Network Leadership Council, helping shape a movement to end violence worldwide.

He says:
“I want more people like me to be rescued. I know the pain of bondage – and I know what freedom feels like. I want others to have that same chance.”

His story was made possible because someone like you gave … faithfully … generously … consistently.

Today, you can be the one who gives someone like Mallaiah the chance to dream big.

Become a Freedom Partner today with your first monthly gift, and be the steady heartbeat bringing rescue, protection and long-term restoration to people still waiting for help.

This is your moment to step into the story – and help write a better ending.

Until all are free,

Sharon Cohn Wu

Regional President, IJM North America
