I owe you an explanation.

I know you’ve been getting a lot of emails from me lately. The truth is simple: this is one of the most competitive seats in the entire country, and far-right groups have already started spending to defeat me.

As one of just 13 Democrats representing a district that President Trump also won, I’m a top target. That means every fundraising deadline we face is closely watched—by the press, by national Republicans, and by outside groups who are deciding how much money to pour into NY-03.

If our numbers are weak, they’ll double down on their attacks. If our numbers are strong, we’ll show that this grassroots team is ready to fight back and win.

We’re under 48 hours from the end-of-quarter deadline. What we raise between now and midnight on the 30th will be public—and it will shape the narrative of this race.
