In 2022, I was proud to lead an organization that endorsed John Fetterman. The organization I lead, Path to Progress, proudly issued an endorsement of his campaign. He presented himself as a pro-working class progressive who would fight for people's jobs, people's health care, and people's rights. But, I admit it: I couldn’t have been more wrong.
We're rescinding our endorsement and we will be supporting a primary contest against John Fetterman.
Just now, Fetterman reached a new low. He's confirmed more of Trump's far-right nominees than any other Democratic Senator, but rolling over to Trump's cabinet wasn't enough: he just announced he will be folding to MAGA and voting for their budget.
We need to elect real progressives and show these "Democrats" that capitulating to Trump is as unpopular as it is wrong.
Path to Progress is the key to building a robust opposition to MAGA within Generation Z. We'll need those voters to turnout not just to defeat Trump's majorities next year but also to win primary elections.
