Recently, Nancy Mace and House Republicans tried to censure Ilhan Omar for standing up to white supremacy, and Rashida Tlaib for demanding our government stop enabling war crimes.

Let’s be clear: this was never about “accountability.”

It was about silencing two fearless progressive women of color who refuse to be intimidated. It was about weaponizing racism and bigotry to smear our movement and go after the leaders the far right fears most.

And here’s the truth: as we get closer to 2026, these attacks are only going to get uglier. Republicans are terrified of a future where Ilhan, Rashida, and every Justice Democrat keep exposing their corruption and building real power for working people.

We’re not backing down. Every time they come after Ilhan or Rashida, they’re coming after all of us. And every single time, we’ll rise up stronger, louder, and more united.

Justice Democrats was built for moments like this: to defend our champions and elect more leaders who will never compromise with the forces of hate and greed.

But if we want to fight back with the strength this moment demands, we need to finish this quarter strong.
