Regardless of whether you believe in a high power it is clear that America finds itself in a battle between good and evil. 

Ground zero for this fight is the upcoming November 2025 Pennsylvania Supreme Court Election. Though it may sound like an obscure local race the stakes are life and death for believers of equality, freedom, and Democracy. 

Losing the PA Supreme Court’s blue majority all but guarantees MAGA control of Pennsylvania and ensures Democrats never win PA’s 19 electoral votes again.

Assuming that this race would receive little attention like it typically does, Democrats paid little attention until MAGA launched an unprecedented surprise attack dumping tens of millions into the race overnight, rapidly seizing the lead.

Since then Democrats have been on their backfoot mounting a desperate defense. Defend our Courts is at the forefront of coordinating this defense and this week we were handed yet another demoralizing blow: 

On Wednesday MAGA launched a new disinformation campaign disseminated via mailers and digital ads, targeting hundreds of thousands of Democratic voters, telling them that voting no and removing the justices (the GOP position) is a vote to defend our Democracy and support women's rights.

Left unchecked thousands of Democratic voters would be voting for the GOP’s cause through no fault of their own. 

Having spent money we didn’t have on containing the GOP’s lightning breakthrough, our warchest was all but emptied. With no viable way to counter the disinformation and time running out until mail ballots begin to arrive we sent out an urgent call to help us fund a counter-mailer. 

To begin printing the mailer on Saturday morning (today) in time for it to arrive before most mail in ballots, our print shop needed a payment of $100,000 by no later than 9 PM on Friday night. At 5 PM we stood tens of thousands of dollars short and it looked like the mailing would be a failure. 

We sent out a plea at 6 PM that went largely unanswered, then inexplicably around 7 PM donations began flooding in. Thousands of Democrats from every state in the union. Teachers, lawyers, yoga instructors, even a rock and roll legend, making donations from $3 to donations of $7500. It was nothing short of a miracle.

By 9 PM we’d met our budget and then some. As we write this tens of thousands of mail pieces are rolling off industrial printers and are being loaded onto pallets to be sent to USPS facilities. 

An army of guardian angels, you, our grassroots donors, just prevented tens of thousands of well intentioned Democratic Pennsylvania voters from inadvertently voting for the Republican cause. 

Salvaging this race will require a string of even more miracles but based on what we just witnessed we know it is possible. If millions of Democrats come to Pennsylvania’s aid, a defeat
