Friend, it's Letitia James. Before I ask for your support today, I want to share a little bit about who I am – and how and why I stand up for New York's working families.
Growing up in Brooklyn in a working-class family, I didn't come from wealth or privilege. But I did learn early on that fairness and justice matter – and that too often, families like mine didn't have someone in power to advocate for them.
That's why I ran for office to be The People's Lawyer. From my very first day in office as New York's attorney general – the first Black woman ever to be elected to a statewide office – I made a promise to hold the powerful accountable and protect the most vulnerable.
Since then, I've spent my career taking on corrupt corporations, fighting to protect reproductive rights, defending immigrants and the LGBTQ+ community, and standing up to Donald Trump's dangerous MAGA agenda.
Every day, I fight to ensure that our communities – like the very one that raised me – have the resources, protections, and freedoms they deserve. And when those aren't guaranteed, I step up to secure them. With so much on the line – our rights, our democracy, and our future – the role of attorney general has never been more vital.
But the truth is, I can't do this alone. My campaign is fueled by donations from hardworking, everyday people like you, friend. That's why, ahead of Tuesday's end-of-month deadline, I have to ask: Will you chip in $15, or whatever you can today, to help me continue protecting New Yorkers and Americans everywhere from those who put politics and power above the people?

Thank you for being in this with me.

With so many tough and crucial fights ahead, I am counting on people like you to fuel my fight for justice, progress, and true equality. Will you make a monthly donation to make sure I can continue using the full power of the Attorney General's office to make a difference for everyday people and families?
