An 85-YEAR-OLD ARKANSAS FATHER shot and killed his 40-year-old son [5]
after being brutally beaten with a metal rod — a tragic case that
highlights how disparity of force often leaves the elderly with no
other option but armed defense.
We also published a breakdown on how to prepare for a large-scale
terror attack [6], a story out of Buckeye where an elderly man
negligently discharged a firearm inside a Walmart McDonald’s [7],
and coverage of a second New Jersey town removing concealed carry fees

On the legislative front, the North Carolina House postponed its veto
override vote [9] on the Freedom to Carry bill, and several gun rights
groups are demanding big banks publicly pledge [10] to end debanking
of the firearms industry.
I also posted my third USPSA match runs [11]. I went into this match
trying to shoot more on the move rather than just running position to
position. Felt like things flowed a bit smoother than before, and
I’m definitely seeing progress little by little. Still early in the
journey, but I’m enjoying it. Thanks to my buddy Gabe for helping me
think through stage plans and explaining the “why” behind his
choices. I even learned how to run the scoring tablet. Can’t say I
don’t know how anymore.
